Neil Kramer, The Cleaver

It’s my pleasure to welcome Neil Kramer, A.K.A. “The Cleaver,” to the show in podcast episode 98. Neil is a philosopher, mystic, essayist, and lecturer whose work involves investigations into human consciousness, metaphysics, shamanism, systems of control and liberation, and the nature of reality. He describes it as, “Navigating the ancient pathways of gnosis, esoteric knowledge, consciousness, and the divine.”

Neil Kramer - Guerrilla Psychonautics

In the beginning of the interview, Neil describes his experience and background in exploring consciousness, philosophy, and spiritual practice. His description of the use of technology to acquire and disseminate knowledge is notable as is his opinion that mystical philosophies are confirmed by new physics. We’re attempting to explore the nature of human consciousness through our dialogue. Who are we? What are we? Perhaps more to the point – what aren’t we and what are some of the lies that we tell about ourselves and our world?

By analyzing and deconstructing consensus reality, Neil’s essays and speeches have the potential to alter perception, change consciousness, awaken, and empower the individual. His experience, eloquence, honesty, and humility are indicative of the authenticity of his work. Neil’s reputation as one of the counterculture’s most thought-provoking writers and speakers is well-deserved.

Neil’s ability to articulate the mystical + syncro-mystical is always stunning. His gift of stretching minds and exploring spots yet explored has always left me impressed with his art. Thanks for hosting him. 🙂

Authenticity is a hard but important state to find – great and hopeful interview – thanks.

The oppressive economic system that is set up to keep people struggling just to survive is what keeps most of us lost in the dream and powerless to change it. That vigilance, akin to lucidity in our sleeping dream state, is difficult to achieve and maintain because of this. The worry about making ends meet is definitely the thing that keeps me most asleep about the true nature of reality. This interview was a great reminder for me of things I’m aware of and have encountered with direct experience (real knowing) through meditation and holotropic breathwork. Thanks for the interview!
